Synopsis

When Warren Hall isn't doing chores at his mother Muriel's boarding house he's holed up in the electronics lab he built in his garage, working on... something. The new girl in town, Laura, has caught Warren's eye but he's not ready to confide in her. Not even his longtime friend the kindly old Captain, a retired merchant marine who lives at the boarding house, knows exactly what Warren is developing. All he'll say is that he believes he's figured out how to apply the theories of an obscure but brilliant early 20th Century scientist named Viktor Loescher in a way that will change the way we live. Loescher is Warren's personal hero and Warren tells anyone who will listen that Loescher was as smart as Einstein or Tesla. In honor of the principles on which Warren bases his experiments he calls the startling results of his research: THE LOESCHER-HALL EFFECT.
